Ryan converted his trial period over the summer 2023 into a permanent move to Reading.

The promising young left-back was playing in the League of Ireland with Shamrock Rovers and then University College Dublin FC before making a move to Serie A to join Sassuolo in 2022 where he featured primarily for the Italian side’s Under-19s.

He has represented the Republic of Ireland at every age-group level from Under-15 to Under-19, and will be looking to make an impression in Premier League 2 under the guidance of fellow countryman Noel Hunt.
