Bio
Camara, who played his youth football for Portuguese side C.D. Feirense, arrived in Berkshire in October 2020, initially to link up with our U18 side.
Since then, Camara has gained experience in the U18 Premier League and the Premier League 2, and found the net during a 5-2 win over Norwich City U18.
He made his senior Reading debut as a 78th minute substitute during our Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie with Luton Town in January.
The Guinea-Bissau national then signed his first professional deal with the club in February 2021.
Four months on from his first team bow, Camara registered his Championship debut, again from the bench, this time during the final seven minutes of a defeat to table toppers Norwich City in May 2021.
He featured a further six times in the 2022-23 season, registering an assist for Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan's goal in the EFL Cup first round defeat to Stevenage. Five of these appearances came in the Championship, including a start away to Coventry City.
New manager Rubén Sellés used Camara regularly at the start of the 2023-24 season, featuring in the first four League One games, and playing the full match in the dominant 4-0 win away to Millwall in the EFL Cup, where he grabbed his Reading goal.
