Versatile defender Kelvin Abrefa has been with the Royals from a young age.

Abrefa can operate as a central defender, or as a full-back and has played a variety of positions throughout his blossoming career.

Kelvin made his First Team debut for Reading in a Championship match against Coventry City at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, the match marked the occasion of the club's 150th Anniversary, and Abrefa came on as a substitute for Tom Holmes.

The young defender made his FA Cup debut in some style in January 2023, starting the Third Round tie against Watford and scoring the opening goal, he also went on to play in 6 of the last 10 league games of the season.

2023-24 season has seen Abrefa juggle regular U21 football along with first team appearances, playing in the Carabao Cup and our historic 9-0 win over Exeter in September.
