What's On
The Trust engages with more than 4000 people each week - changing lives in our local community. Caring for those who need support, developing young aspiring footballers and educating through their schools and college provision.
To put a spotlight on just some of the work the Trust delivers, we welcome the following activities this weekend:
Pre Match
- Launching their new partnership with the Trust – Tomato Energy will be based in the newly branded Matchday Cabin in the Fun Zone. Young supporters will be able to get their faces painted inside the cabin from 1-2:30pm and collect some giveaways. Plans for exciting activities, competitions and events are in place for future matchdays so watch this space!
- The Reading FC Community Trust Under 13s Girls won the Berks and Bucks cup on Saturday 8th March and they will be pitchside with their trophy.
- The Trust ran a design a shirt competition with local schools and the players will be modelling the winning shirt during the warm-up – our winner Harry will be pitchside with our coaches to talk about this exciting initiative so listen out for them.
Half Time
- Dave Evans Community Trust Manager will be giving praise and thanks to Select Car Leasing – we know of their great support of the club but did you know they also support the Trust including funding some of our HAF camps providing food for children during school holidays and supporting the Reading FC Women run by the Community Trust.
- The Luke Freeman Foundation was set up in memory of Luke, a young man who trained with the Trust for 10 years, to ensure a positive legacy to celebrate his life. Following Luke’s close connection with the Trust – Luke’s parents would like to make a donation to the Trust and they will present this to Richard Witt, Head of the Trust’s Social Inclusion.
