Welcome, Billy!
Reading Football Club are delighted to confirm the loan signing of Billy Bodin from Burton Albion, with the forward joining the Royals until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old’s arrival has a proven calibre at this level, having gained promotion to the Championship last season, and he will be eligible for selection ahead of this weekend’s trip to Huddersfield.

Bodin has made an impact for the Brewers this season, netting four goals in just seven league starts since joining the club in the summer.
A product of Swindon Town’s academy, Bodin made his first senior appearance for the Robins in 2010 before going on to represent the likes of Bristol Rovers, Preston North End, and Oxford United. With 260 league appearances and 73 goals to his name, he brings valuable experience and an attacking threat to the squad.
Some Royals fans may recognise the name Bodin—Billy is the son of former Royal Paul Bodin, who made 41 appearances for the club between 1996 and 1998.

Reading Manager Noel Hunt expressed his excitement about the addition, saying:
"I'm really pleased to bring Billy into the squad for the rest of the season. He's an experienced player who knows this league well and has proven his quality over the years.
He’ll give us another attacking option, with his work rate, creativity and eye for goal will be a real asset to the team. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
We are delighted to welcome Billy and look forward to seeing him in blue and white very soon!
