In a period of significant change for Reading FC Women, the club announces the departure of several players and staff members following the end of their contracts.
As the team prepares to move to a Tier 5 side, we bid farewell to those who have given their all for the club. We thank them for their dedication and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.
List of Departing Players:
Deanna Cooper - 79 appearances since joining in 2020.
Charlie Wellings - 39 appearances for the First Team.
Tia Primmer - 56 appearances for the First Team since being promoted through our Academy.
Madison Perry - 21 appearances for the First Team since being promoted through our Academy.
Ava Kuyken - Following her arrival in the summer, an unfortunate injury meant she missed the 2023/24 season.
Lauren Wade - 37 appearances for the First Team.
Brooke Hendrix - 32 appearances for the First Team, and captained the team for the second half of last season.
Easther Mayi Kith - 35 appearances for the First Team.
Charlie Estcourt - 53 appearances for the First Team since making her debut in 2017, and also another graduate of our Academy.
Georgia Wilson – 5 appearances for the First Team.
Mae Hunt – 2 appearances for the First Team since being registered from our Academy, and played a huge part in the league and cup double for our U21s.
Amelia Elwood - 17 appearances for the First Team since breaking through from the Academy, and like Mae, played a key role in the U21s league and cup success.
Josie Longhurst – 21 appearances for the First Team.
Jackie Burns – 16 appearances for the First Team, representing the club in both the Barclays Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship.
Bethan Roberts – 28 appearances for the First Team, having been part of the team early on, graduating through our youth pathway.
Eve Annets – 4 appearances for the First Team, breaking into the senior side last season, and another to come through our Academy.
