Manager gives his damming assessment after shock defeat to Wolves
Liam Gilbert declared his team was nowhere near the level they should’ve been, as they were outplayed by a dedicated and persistent Wolves team.
With a challenging game next week against Birmingham in the Championship, Gilbert says we have to dust ourselves off and show what the team is made of.

"We didn't want it. Wolves wanted it more than they deserve the victory. Simple as that.
I think accountability, effort and non-negotiables – none of that was there today, and without it you’re never going to win a game of football.
We just turned up today, went through the motions, and expected to win, and in the end, we got taught a lesson.
There’s no secret that there is a lot of noise going around the club, can that impact you mentally, sure. You can try and use that as an excuse, but for me, we were nowhere near it.
I don’t think we need to delve into it any more than that, fair play to Wolves, they did their homework, they worked for it, and thoroughly deserved it.
This’ll hurt, but come next week, we have to come together and make sure we show we’re better than what we showed."
