Academy U18s
Details: Arsenal, Arsenal's Training Centre, Saturday 12pm
This season has had its ups and downs so far for Leigertwood’s Under 18s however their FA Youth Cup form has seen them put in some dominant performances so far.
A 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday saw the Royals under 18s book their place into the fifth round of the competition on Tuesday night with Coke Miles Smith grabbing a hat-trick on this cold night in Sheffield.
The under 18s will be looking to show a similar ruthlessness in the league against Arsenal on Saturday as the Royals aim to distance themselves from the bottom part of the table.

Men's First Team
Details: Port Vale, Select Car Leasing Stadium, Sunday 3PM
The Royals will be hoping to bounce back after bowing out of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy against Brighton’s Under 21 side on Tuesday night at The Amex Stadium in which the game was decided by a penalty shootout.
Before their trip to the South Coast on Tuesday Reading were unbeaten in their last 6 games that saw them pick up 4 draws and two wins during the busy festive period.
A win on Saturday would see the Royals move within just four points off of Port Vale who currently sit in 14th place in League One. The two sides met for the first game of the season in which Port Vale narrowly beat Reading 1-0, Rubén Sellés will be hoping to continue the momentum gained in the league and secure the victory on Saturday.

Women's First Team
Details: Wolverhampton Wanderers, EBB Power Stadium Aldershot, Adobe Women's FA Cup Fourth Round, Sunday 2PM
Reading concluded 2023 with an impressive return from the international break that saw them pick up a draw and two wins during the festive period.
The Royals started their December run by beating Cheltenham Town 4-0 as they secured their next spot into the following round of the FA Cup, this was promptly followed up by a win over WSL side Bristol City which brought Reading their first Conti Cup win of the campaign.
The 4-0 win over Cheltenham Town booked Liam Gilbert’s side their place into the fourth round of the competition as they look to carry on their success in the cup and maintain the momentum that they built up during the Christmas period.
Sunday’s fixture shall be the first ever meeting between Reading and Wolves as both teams look to advance into the fifth round of this historic tournament.

Academy U21s
Details: Leciester City, Bearwood Park, Monday 7pm
Noel Hunt’s will be looking to regain some consistency in their league results with a win over Leicester City on Monday night.
Between 2nd place and 8th place only six points separates those chasing league leaders Tottenham who are still have a perfect record of 9 wins from 9. A win on Monday for Reading will help them remain within touching distance of the top four.
