Academy graduate transfers to Millwall.
Reading Football Club can confirm Femi Azeez has completed a permanent transfer to Millwall for a substantial undisclosed fee.
The move brings to an end a five year tenure with the club, having initially been brought into the club's Academy setup. He would go on to make 89 first team appearances, scoring on 11 occasions across all competitions - the first of which coming in a 2-1 home victory against Preston North End in August 2021.
A spell in the team towards the end of the 2022/23 campaign would be followed up by Femi appearing in all 46 SkyBet League One fixtures last season, contributing eight goals and nine assists to his tally.
Reading Manager Rubén Sellés spoke of the move: "Everyone at the club would like to thank Femi for his five years of service, and wish him well for his future career.
"Our philosophy is to create an environment for our people to shine, and consequently we have a group full of talented players who attract the interest of other clubs at high levels across Europe.
As a result of the combination of Femi’s hard work and the platform of support he has received from his teammates and staff members, he has been given the opportunity to perform at a high level for our club."
