18,500 supporters flooded through the turnstiles to witness the Royals beat the play-off chasing Tangerines, and despite an early setback, Rubén Sellés' team were able to harness the vociferous backing of our supporters to record a resounding win against strong opposition.
The form of the team in the final few months has got people believing again, and you can tell something special is happening with a supporter base and a playing group so clearly united.
The scenes at full time on Saturday were reflective of a team who had won promotion this term, not a team who had finished 17th. Everyone should be applauded for coming through the season with their heads held high, and as we continue to plan and build for 2024-25, we want to collectively take this positive energy forward and push on as one.
