Floodlit visit to the RAW Charging Stadium for the U18s
Reading’s Under-18 squad will travel to face Oxford City on Tuesday 31 October for an FA Youth Cup first round tie, kicking off at 7.45pm at the RAW Charging Stadium.
Oxford City, whose senior side play in the National League, entered the competition in the second round qualifying. They have seen off Swindon Supermarine and Street to make it to this stage… Mikele Leigertwood’s Reading side, meanwhile, will be playing their first fixture in this year’s tournament.
Like the senior edition of the FA Cup, it is the sides whose first teams play in Leagues One and Two which enter in the first round, while the U18 squads from Premier League and Championship clubs will join the fray in round three. Chester-Le-Street United, of the tenth tier, are the lowest-ranked side remaining in the competition.
Reading supporters are invited to come along and get behind the Royals players of the future as they take on Oxford City at the RAW Charging Stadium – tickets can be purchased in advance directly through the host club using the link below, priced at £5 for Adults, £2 for Concessions and Under-16s able to come for free.
