We are pleased to announce that Tom Ince has been voted as the Men’s Player of the Season for 2022-23.
Ince began the season in spectacular goalscoring fashion, firing home a wonderful winner to complete a comeback at home to Cardiff City in our first home fixture of the campaign.

Having signed a new contract with the club in the summer, Ince developed into a driving force within the starting eleven – creating opportunities, providing assists for others whilst adding goals to his own game.
In total, our no.10 scored an impressive nine goals this season, including the winner at Wigan in September, the second in a 2-1 home win over Swansea City just after Christmas a penalty that sparked a comeback against the high-flying Hornets in February and a vital brace against his former club Blackpool.

Despite his desperation to return from injury early to help his teammates out in the run-in, unfortunately an excellent campaign was cut short for Ince who last featured in a 1-1 draw with Hull City in mid-March - but he made 39 appearances in the blue and white hoops this season and injected energy and effort into every minute he played for this club across the course of a tough campaign.
In second place in the fans’ poll was goalkeeper Joe Lumley, while striker Andy Carroll earned third spot in the supporters’ vote.
Congratulations Tom on adding your name into the club’s Player of the Season history…
