Our Community Trust would like to invite all local people within our community to join them at the 'Sport Together SEND Festival of Inclusivity' next month.

The festival is taking place at Palmer Park Sports Stadium on Friday 14 April and it is free to everyone with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and both adults and children with physical, learning or neurological conditions.

This weekend’s home match against Millwall will see us celebrate Level Playing Field’s ‘Unite For Access’ campaign. The campaign will run from Saturday 25 February to Sunday 12 March and aims to showcase the good work being done by clubs to improve accessibility and inclusion across sport. So this week we want to shine a light on the excellent work done by our Community Trust on a daily basis to make sport available to all.

The Trust's work within disability will be represented at the festival next month as we work in partnership with Reading Rockets, Berkshire Cricket, Reading Athletics, CH Sports and the town's leisure partner, Greenwich Leisure Ltd to give people with SEND the opportunity to try different sports.

All the coaches working with the participants will have experience with people with SEND, so we look forward to seeing some Royals fans at Palmer Park in little more than a month's time.

Bring a picnic and make a day of it - the festival begins at 9am and will run until 4pm on Friday 14 April.
