Reading to take on Grecians and Robins; U21 team still TBC
Reading have been drawn into Group G of the 2023-24 EFL Trophy along with Swindon Town and Exeter City.
The final space in Group G will be filled on Thursday 22 June (11.30am) live on Sky Sports when the eight invited Under-21 teams are drawn into each of the groups, alongside the 48 pre-determined places occupied by clubs from Leagues One and Two which are split into Northern and Southern Sections.
One of our games against EFL opposition will be at home, and one will be away – so it remains to be seen whether we’ll travel to meet the Grecians at St James Park or visit the Robins at the County Ground. U21 clubs play all of their fixtures away from home.
Fixtures are currently scheduled to take place in midweek evenings on the weeks commencing 4 September, 9 October and 13 November.
