Royals goalkeeper Jökull Andrésson has this evening completed a loan move to League Two side Stevenage which will see him call Broadhall Way his home until the end of the 2022-23 season.
Andrésson returned from an emergency one-week loan to Exeter City at the start of the week, having returned to the club at which he has previously spent time with on loan to briefly step in for the injured Jamal Blackman.
His return as a Grecian was a successful one – the 21-year-old kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory at MK Dons last weekend and now Stevenage boss Steve Evans has stepped in to take the promising Iceland international on loan until the end of the current campaign.

Stevenage bowed out of the FA Cup in defeat to Stoke City at the weekend, having slayed a giant in the Third Round with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa.
But now, they will concentrate on league matters and a bid for promotion; Stevenage sit in second place in the table – with two games in hand over pace-setters Leyton Orient who hold just a two point advantage at the League Two summit.
Jökull could make his debut for Stevenage when they travel to Sutton United this weekend – a side they beat 3-0 at home earlier in their League Two campaign.
And Andresson will team up with a former Royal at Stevenage – fellow Academy graduate Jake Taylor is a regular with the Hertfordshire club.
We would like to wish Jökull the very best of luck for the rest of the season at Stevenage.
