With another tough battle ahead this weekend as we visit Stoke City, goalkeeper Joe Lumley discusses the week of preparation as we vie for three more points towards our target.

Lumley has been between the sticks for all but three of Reading's Championship games this season.

The Royals keeper, on loan from Middlesbrough, discussed this week's training ahead of the weekend's clash with Stoke City.

“Yeah we feel good. It's another hard day's training finished," said Lumley. "Another big game – but they’re all big games. We're coming off the back of a disappointing result at home to QPR – obviously with us going 2-0 ahead I felt that we should have done a lot better second half and managed the game better. But it’s another point in the right direction and we move on to Stoke away. We’ve done a lot of good training and preparing for the game this weekend.

"Our last game with Stoke was a while ago and a lot has changed since then. It’s another game where we have to look at it and go from the beginning. We can’t look at previous games and we can't look at their form this season - we have to just look ahead. We’ve got another day’s training tomorrow so we’ll be prepared for a big game up at their place.

"Obviously our aim is to stay in the division and the quicker we do that the better. Maybe then we can start to look up the table at other things."
