Snaps of some of the best bits from Saturday’s fixture

On Saturday, we celebrated Community Day! A chance to shine a light on some of the work that Reading FC Community Trust does.

The charitable arm of our club, Reading FC Community Trust lives up to its motto: Care, Develop, Educate. And during last weekend’s game against Watford, we saw a tiny bit of that in action.

Blind Football shoot-outs in the Funzone and Apollo Gymnastics dance routines on the pitch ahead of the match… and Social Inclusion Manager Richard Witt met Harry for the first time after mentoring him by playing FIFA. Watch this space for a video feature on their first in-person meeting!

Rainbow Royals, our LGBTQ+ friendly football group, played a fixture against their Wycombe counterparts in the Dome, and we had extra mascots on hand from the Community Trust too – leading the team out of the tunnel ahead of the game.

And in partnership with Active Learning in Reading College, the Community Trust delivers Level 1, 2 and 3 coaching courses – some of the participants were presented to the crowd during the interval.
