REMINDER

It is important to reiterate to our supporters that no matter the strength of feeling – and as a club we are fully aware and understand fans’ frustrations - it is unacceptable for any supporters to enter the field of play before, during or after the match or to throw missiles of any description onto the pitch.

We acknowledge that fans have the right to a voice and to make that voice heard, but any supporter protests which disrupt the running of a matchday or the club’s day-to-day operations, threaten to directly impact the staff, the players and other fans. Disruption to matchday operations can lead to significant penalties and fines for the club, which cannot possibly aid the club’s cause.

Supporters in breach of the rules may also receive a criminal record or a banning order, so we would strongly advise against any supporter action which might bring the club into disrepute and impact the running of this or future club fixtures.

THE OPPOSITION

It has been an excellent season so far for the Posh, with the side currently sitting two points clear in the automatic promotion places following a comeback victory away to Shrewsbury.

Their win at Croud Meadow means it is now six games unbeaten in the league for Darren Ferguson's side, with five wins during this time.

ONE TO WATCH: EPHRON MASON-CLARKE

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder started the season in the best possible way, grabbing the only goal as the Posh earned all three points at the SCL on the opening day.

He has kicked on from there, adding another six goals to his tally, as well as chipping in with five assists.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The meeting in August was the 52nd edition of this fixture, with Peterborough's victory their 18th against the Royals.

Reading have prevailied in 19 of the games, including a 3-1 win in September 2021. There have been 15 draws, including a goalless affair the last time we travelled to their stadium.

Highlights of the three most recent clashes can be found below:

REF WATCH

David Rock is the man in the middle for this one, marking his sixth League One game of the year.

Alistair Taylor and Grant Taylor will be running the line, with Paul Evans as the fourth official.
