Sellés on squad selection for Millwall and fielding a team capable of taking the game to the Lions
Our second game of the campaign is a cup trip to Millwall – they host us in the Carabao Cup.
Royals boss Rubén Sellés expects to make some changes to his XI for the Tuesday night trip… but knows that his side will be competitive against Championship opposition.
There’ll be a winner on the night – even if penalties required – and our boss knows we’ll field a side capable of securing a place in the second-round draw.
“I’m going to go there with the aim of getting to the next round!” Rubén said. “That will be using the players I have available to compete in the game and the players that are fit.
“Some of them will not be able to recover in two or three days right now – but some will be.

“And we showed on Saturday that we have young, talented players that can play for us. And they may have the opportunity to do it. We will have a competitive team.
“It is early in the season to put the stress on the players to play every three days, especially the players who have had injuries or who haven’t had a full pre-season because they were free agents.
“We will make some changes, but we have showed our young players are competitive.
“We will go there with the intention to play our game, see how far we can go, and with the intention to win the football match.”
