Unbeaten against two of the top three under Noel Hunt this week. Now our Interim Manager wants the players to bring out their best once more in search for points against another side challenging at the top end of the table.

“Every point is important. We know that,” Hunt began.

“When we do what we plan to do, we look a good team. We are a good team…with some really good players in that dressing room.

“I speak about belief a lot. They’ve got to believe in themselves, that they’re good players. They have to have no fear – especially in the final third, where you can be brave and risk it all.

“I want them to be direct and aggressive in those areas, go for goal!

“Don’t question the character in this group. It’s a special group. And by sticking together it only makes us stronger.

“I spoke to the players after the game on Wednesday night and I asked them whether they wanted a later start in training the next day. Every single one of them wanted to get in early!

“That’s the mentality. Let’s get going. Let’s get in early to watch the game back, do the analysis of the next one and get straight back to work. They all just wanted to get back into that dressing room.

“The spirit of the group, the character, the togetherness and what they bring to each other, it was there from the moment I came into the role and it was there for all to see on Wednesday night.

“And we’ve got to keep going. We’ve got to relish the challenge at Coventry – it’s a great place to go and play. They are a very good team who have been together a long time. So we’re going to have to be on our A game again.

“We have got to control what we can control. Right now, it’s just about what we can do at Coventry this weekend.

“And the fans have been superb. They have been immense. And they know how important they are to this club and to us. And we’re very grateful.”
