A review of today's action...
The Royals drew 1-1 this afternoon in a behind closed doors friendly against Premier League outfit Brentford at the Bees Training Ground, Jersey Road.
Reading's team comprised primarily of Noel Hunt's under-21 team, as well offering crucial minutes in the legs for the likes of senior players Dean Bouzanis, Nesta Guinness-Walker, Yakou Meite and Andy Carroll.
The first chance went the way of the hosts as Josh Dasilva found Ryan Trevitt - but despite his attempt beating Royals ‘keeper Bouzanis, defender Kelvin Abrefa was there on the line to clear to keep the game scoreless.
Dasilva then went close himself when his strike brushed the outside of the post, as the West London side pushed for the opener.
However, it would be the Royals that would take the lead just before half-time; a free-kick was put into the box for forward Meite to head past Bees goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom.
After the break the visitors almost doubled their lead when Guinness-Walker's cross picked out striker Carroll... he was unfortunate to see his header go just wide of the post.

After the break, Ethan Pinnock went close to equalising for the Bees; his headed effort was deflected onto the bar by teammate, who was stationed in an offside position.
The hosts were back on level terms in the 62nd minute when Alex Gilbert was put through by Kyreece Lisbie, and steadied himself to find the back of the net.
The Royals had a couple of further chances to retake the lead - but it was level-pegging at the final whistle. A useful exercise as we get ready for a busy schedule after the international break!
