Young striker Nahum Melvin-Lambert has completed the paperwork on an initial one-month youth loan to National League side Hemel Hempstead.

The 19-year-old forward spent two separate loan spells in the League of Ireland's Premier Division with St Patrick's Athletic last year and added his signature to a new professional deal as a Royal in the summer.

He has been on professional terms with the Royals since February 2021, having made his first team debut for Reading in a Carabao Cup win over Colchester united at the start of the 2020-21 season.

Nahum went on to make two more substitute appearances for the Royals that season, featuring twice against Luton Town in each of the domestic cup competitions before a loan switch to Dublin yielded three goals with St Patrick’s - who lifted the FAI Cup at the Aviva Stadium at the end of their campaign.

Hemel finished 15th in the National League South table last season and kicked off the new campaign with a home win over Farnborough last month.

The Hertfordshire-based side will hope Melvin-Lambert can help them end a winless run of six games since that opening day victory and the promising Royals striker could make his debut away at Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday night.

Good luck during your spell, Nahum!
