We spent last season celebrating this club’s rich past. Now we all look to the future…
In our 150th anniversary season, naturally we immersed ourselves in our club’s long, rich history. Now we must look to the future.
Championship survival has given us an opportunity to reset. A chance to rebuild and restructure. A summer to refocus. Next season will kick off on Saturday 30 July and we will all look to back the boys from the first to the last of the next 46 game challenge!
Season Tickets remain the most cost-effective way to follow the Royals in 2022-23 and the renewal period is now open!
And, to recognise the loyalty shown and show our appreciation for the support of our Season Ticket holders, all prices have been frozen across all four stands and in every age category.

By yet again freezing our Season Ticket prices, we again proudly stand tall as one of the clubs at the forefront of affordable football for all. Need examples?
- The cost of a new Adult Season Ticket in the Sir John Madejski Stand in 2004 was £395. This season, the cost of a new Adult Season Ticket in the Sir John Madejski Stand is…£395. Inflation alone would have seen this price rise to nearly twice its advertised price in 2022-23. But we continue to champion affordable football.
- We also continue to invest in the future generations of Royals fans. Other clubs may run occasional ‘kid for a quid’ promotions to attract younger fans to one-off games during the course of a season. At Reading, we offer all children aged 12 and under a full Season Ticket in the Family Area of the Eamonn Dolan Stand which equates to just £1 per match throughout the entire 2022-23 Championship campaign!
- We remain a family club. A dad and his two secondary school-aged children can attend every single game next season for an average of less than £20 with a brand new Season Ticket. A mum and her 12-year-old daughter can renew and see us play all 23 home games for an average of less than £15 per game.
- We want you to bring the noise. A renewed Season Ticket in the vocal Club 1871 for anyone aged between 18-24 will cost an average of just £5.65 per match. That’s less than a pre-match pint at the pub in town!
The time to renew is now.
Naturally, we didn’t want to begin a Season Ticket renewal process without knowing in which division we would be playing our football in 2022-23, so these prices have been announced after the culmination of our 150th anniversary campaign to ensure they are fair and that our supporters have full clarity on the product they are purchasing. Next season, however, starts a little earlier than normal due to the early winter break in the fixture calendar necessitated by the World Cup towards the end of 2022. So the renewal window is shorter than normal.
However, Royals supporters still have more than a month to renew their Season Ticket for 2022-23. The deadline for renewals will be 5pm on Friday 17 June 2022. After this date, seat moves will be facilitated by our Ticket Office staff, your seat will no longer be reserved and the discounted renewal price will no longer be applicable.
And new Season Ticket sales are open to all now.
So if your grandad or your brother or your cousin wants to join you in the stands at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in 2022-23, they can purchase their Season Ticket NOW!

The headlines for 2022-23

💰 Adults renewing will be paying as little as £13 per game, while 65s and over who renew can pay less than a tenner per match.
👛 Those aged 18-24 will pay an average of just £5.65 per game. And if you’re 17 and under you’ll pay just over £2.50 for the privilege of a place in the Eamonn Dolan Stand each match.
🔵 12 and under? You can watch every single home match next season for a total price of £23 in the Family Area. £1 per match!
🎫 And remember, a slight rise in matchday tickets in 2022-23 means Season Tickets are even better value for money than they were last season.
