Six school teams are now set for a dream-come-true experience when they participate in the Utilita Kids Cup Grand Finals at Wembley Stadium at half-time during the divisional play-off finals this May.

And Reading Football Club's Community Trust recently helped to host the Regional Finals tournament for kids aged 10 or 11 playing for clubs in the Sky Bet Championship South.

Representing the Royals in the tournament were St John's Junior School from Wokingham and they were battling for a trip down Wembley Way alongside schools representing Cardiff City, Swansea City, QPR, Millwall, Peterborough United, Bournemouth, Luton Town, Derby County and West Bromwich Albion.

Sacred Heart Primary School emerged as the victors as the action out on the 4G pitch at the Selecty Car Leasing Stadium was watched by former Wales international defender Ashley Williams.

The Hatters' Year 6 boys team were narrow 4-3 winners and were presented with the trophy by the former Swansea City centre-half, who also handed out medals to all participants. They will now compete against other regional final winners - Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth, Tranmere Rovers and Exeter City - for the title!

Here are some of the best photos from an event that showcased the talent coming through our schools in the south...
