Blackpool away on the opening day… and the full 2022-23 calendar!
Our full 2022-23 fixture list has been finalised – and now we know that the new Sky Bet Championship campaign begins away at Blackpool on Saturday 30 July.
So it’ll be a trip to the seaside before July is over! The campaign begins earlier than usual this year, with the World Cup calling a mid-season halt to the schedule for almost a full calendar month.
Our home campaign at the Select Car Leasing Stadium begins against Cardiff City the following weekend; they are our visitors on Saturday 6 August. The Carabao Cup first round – which will be drawn this afternoon from 2.30pm – takes place on a midweek evening, the following week.
A visit to Hull in November is our last game before the World Cup – then we return the following month with a home tie against Coventry. And our home campaign closes at home against Wigan, before we finish the campaign with an Inflatables Day visit to Huddersfield.

Renewing supporters have until 5pm on Friday 1 July to claim their renewal discount... but you're no longer guaranteed your seat from last season if you haven't claimed it already, so get in there before someone else does!
It's the most cost-effective way of watching all 23 of our home fixtures in the Sky Bet Championship this year, from when the home campaign opens against Cardiff. Adults will pay no more than £20 per game on average, and kids aged 12 & Under can attend from as little as £1 per game!
