Our Under-18 squad exited the FA Youth Cup on Thursday evening, as visitors Manchester United progressed with a 3-1 win to put their name into the hat for the Fifth Round.
Despite a positive start from the Royals and some good openings, three goals with 15 first-half minutes had United ahead at the break. Sub Aston Greaver grabbed one back for Reading in the final ten minutes, but they couldn't see through a comeback as the Red Devils held out.
Reading players and coaching staff, past and present, were in attendance to offer their support and to see our prospects in action... our younger Academy age groups were also bulking out a crowd of over 1,000 supporters and lending lots of vocal support to their peers across the 90 minutes!
