Game brought forward by 1 hour to help fans avoid clash with England’s quarter-final…

Reading Football Club can confirm that Saturday’s home fixture with Coventry City will now kick off at 2pm following an agreement between the two clubs.

The English Football League granted permission earlier today to allow matches to be brought forward following England’s progression to the Quarter-Finals of the FIFA World Cup.

The Three Lions’ 3-0 victory over Senegal last night sent them through to the last eight of the competition where they will meet reigning World Champions France on Saturday, kick off 7pm.

With this in mind, the two clubs have agreed to bring forward the fixture by one hour in order to allow both home and away supporters coming to RG2 for this weekend’s game to support their team at the Select Car Leasing Stadium before supporting the country in their last eight clash.

All tickets already purchased remain valid, with turnstiles now opening at 12.30pm, and we advise supporters to arrive in good time as we are expecting a large crowd for our second School and Grassroots game of the season.

Our Ticket Office will now open at 9am on Saturday instead of 10am.

Please note that Reading Buses' Football Buses will commence one hour earlier than timetable.
