Thanks to the win in midweek, the Royals are in control of their own destiny. However, Ince doesn’t want the players to get complacent with plenty of hard work still required to confirm the team’s place in the Championship for next season.

“There is a long way to go and you can’t get complacent and start thinking we are nearly there. Things can change in an instant!” Ince continued.

“We have given ourselves a great opportunity, we’ve got another home game ahead of us, we are unbeaten in four so we have a bit momentum going into these types of situations - but as I say we can’t think it is all done. It definitely isn't.

“If we can get three points on Saturday and things go for us then great.

“And I have always felt confident in these lads, I have seen them improve each week not just on the pitch but in training.

“It is another tough game but at this stage of the season you want that momentum, whether you are trying to stay up or get into the play-offs, momentum is the key.

“If we can continue that...great, we go again Saturday and if things can go for us and we get a result then happy days. But we know it won't be easy.”
