Royals forward shares opening her account against Birmingham and season objectives

It was a day to remember for Deanne Rose as she helped her side pick up a big three points against Birmingham City on Sunday, with her first goals for the club after her move in the summer.

The 22-year-old has impressed already in her brief spell for the Royals with her incredible pace to get in behind, composure infront of goal, and a relationship with fellow forward Natasha Dowie which could create a fierce duo throughout the season.

“I’m so happy and delighted with getting my first couple of goals for Reading!” Deanne said.

“As a team, it was so important to win today, we haven’t had the start to the season we would have liked, so getting the points on the board today and continuing our league form from before the international break feels really good, and just lifts us all as we prepare for next weekend against West Ham.

“I’m feeling good, I love being here, the team are amazing.

“As a collective there are so many fantastic players, and we all put in 100% into training and today, especially in the second half, we delivered.

“As I mentioned, the team were hurting after our first handful of games, as I feel we perhaps deserved to get a couple of points from some of our performances, but today feels great and now we got to keep on going in this direction.
