IKEA Reading kit out football-lover's room with nod to the Royals

Since the club purchased furniture from IKEA Reading for the players' bed rest rooms that were incorporated as part of our brand new Bearwood Park training facility, the Calcot-based superstore have gone on to piece together a Royals-inspired show bedroom that features a signed framed shirt provided by the club.

Described by the staff at IKEA as 'a children’s room set dedicated to a young boy or girl loving everything football' - the bedroom has already led to quite a few comments from beady-eyed customers, who have spotted the 2020-21 home shirt on the wall while browsing in-store.

The room not only features the iconic blue and white hoops of our home shirt, but a copy of our 20-21 calendar and a Royals crest emblazoned to the pinboard.

When Bearwood Park was designed, it was done so to include enough small bedrooms in the First Team buildings to cater for first team or Academy players, when bed rest was the order of the day - between two tough training sessions or in advance of a match on one of the pristine pitches. So we turned to our local IKEA store to furnish those rooms.

We were delighted to buy those items for the fit out of the Bearwood complex from our local IKEA store, and also to assist them in kitting out a bedroom fit for the proudest of young Royals supporters!
