Young striker set for second spell in Ireland as he rejoins St Patrick’s for the second half of their season.
The Royals can announce that young striker Nahum Melvin-Lambert has rejoined St Patrick’s Athletic on loan until November.
The 18-year-old forward put pen to paper on his first professional deal with Reading back in February and earned valuable experience with the League of Ireland’s Premier Division outfit before returning to the Royals in the summer.
The Dublin-based side recently restarted their league campaign after a brief mid-season break and are fighting for the title. Currently sitting in second place, they are level on points with league leaders and defending champions Shamrock Rovers – whom they meet on Friday!

St Patrick’s are the club where former-Royals hero Kevin Doyle began his career and Melvin-Lambert scored his first professional goal for the Richmond Park side against Drogheda United in May.
The striker has made three substitute appearances for the Royals to date, featuring in our Carabao Cup clashes against Colchester United and Luton Town as well as an FA Cup defeat at Kenilworth Road in January.
The paperwork for the loan was all completed this afternoon and, pending international clearance, our young striker will now gain more valuable experience across the Irish Sea.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Nahum the very best of luck during his loan spell at St Patrick’s.
