Jökull reuinted with Grecians after impressing during succession of emergency loans
Royals keeper Jökull Andrésson has joined League Two side Exeter City on loan until the end of the season.
Exeter will offer familiar surroundings to Andrésson, who previously spent a succession of emergency loans at St James Park which were extended on a week-to-week basis.
During that time Andrésson registered nine appearances for play-off hopefuls Exeter - winning five, drawing three and losing just once during that loan stint in the south-west.
Since his short initial stint with the Grecians, the Icelandic stopper has enjoyed another week-long loan spell with Morecambe, during which he kept two clean sheets in as many games as the Shrimpers beat Colchester United and the side which which he will now spend the next few months...Exeter City.
Following a string of impressive performances, including that latest one against his Devon side, Exeter manager Matt Taylor was eager to re-secure the services of the 19-year-old Royals keeper.
Andrésson’s next appearance for the Grecians could come as soon as tomorrow when Exeter travel to Carlisle United, or on Tuesday when he and his new teammates make the trip to Stevenage.
We'd like to wish Jökull the very best of luck during his second half of the season at City.
