Striking duo sign on with Royals Women for 2021-22 WSL season
Reading FC Women are pleased to announce that forward pair Jeon Ga-eul and Amalie Eikeland have signed on with the Royals for the coming season, extending their respective stays at the Select Car Leasing Stadium for another year.
Both Jeon and Eikeland are going into their third seasons in the Womens' Super League, for Jeon this will be her second as a Royal since she signed from Bristol City last summer.
While for Norwegian international Eikeland this will be her third term in RG2 under the management of Kelly Chambers.
The striker, who signed from Sandviken in August 2019, grabbed three goals in 16 appearances for the Royals last season - finding the net in a 3-1 WSL victory over Aston Villa, a 2-0 FA WSL Cup win over Brighton, and during a commendable 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
Eikeland has had international game time to keep her fit during the summer, as she turned out twice for her country during June. She played 60 minutes of the Norwegians' friendly with Sweden, and five days later played her part from the bench when they faced the Netherlands.

South-Korea's second-highest scoring women's player of all time, Jeon will continue to bring a wealth of experience to the Royals ranks for the coming campaign.
With 38 international goals in 101 appearances for her country, it's clear to see Jeon will be a threat to WSL defences. Her opportunities on the pitch may have been minimal last season, but Jeon will be keen to demonstrate what she can do in a Reading shirt in the team's sixth successive year in the top tier.

The extension of Jeon and Eikeland's deals with the Royals means Kelly Chambers' now has five senior forwards at her disposal following the arrival of Natasha Dowie this summer.
Congratulations Amalie and Jeon from all at Reading!
