Academy product signs for La Liga outfit
Young midfielder Jordan Holsgrove has put pen to paper on a permanent move away from the Madejski to join Spanish top flight side Celta Vigo.
Holsgrove, who turns 21 today, got a taste of Spanish football last season when he spent a season on loan in Majorca with CD Atlético Baleares in the Segunda División B.
A Scotland youth international and son of former Royals midfielder Paul Holsgrove, Jordan returned to Reading at the start of pre-season and has been training with the first team during this short pre-season campaign.
He will now try to help his new club improve on a 17th-placed finish in the Spanish top flight last season.
Holsgrove could be eligible to make his debut when Vigo take on Eibar as La Liga resumes this weekend.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to wish Jordan the very best of luck for the future.
