18-year-old puts pen to paper to commit his future to the club until 2021
We’re pleased to announce that 18-year-old midfielder Conor Lawless has this afternoon signed terms which will keep him at Madejski Stadium until the summer of 2021
The promising youngster first put pen to paper on a professional contract with the club on his 17th birthday at Hogwood Park in September 2018 and is now nearing the end of his two-year scholarship within our Academy.
Conor made his Under-18 debut at the tender age of 15 and this season has played under Michael Donaldson and Mikele Leigertwood in our Under-18s and for Scott Marshall’s Under-23s in competitive action.
His potential has been recognised within the Royals ranks and he even travelled with the first team to be part of a group that took on Wigan Athletic and Leeds United away from home in November 2018.
Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to congratulate Conor on this new deal and wish him luck as he continues to progress in his fledgling career as a Royal.
