Here's a snippet of what the Reading captain had to say:
I’ve got to give a special mention to Michael Olise; I thought he was absolutely brilliant on the night. I’ve been quite demanding of him in training at times, and his ability is clear to see. He’s very blessed with the ball at his feet, he can make things happen - but me and a few of the other senior lads have been on his case to work hard and do the other side of the game.
To be fair to him, it’s taken a little bit of time – but that’s to be expected at his age. In training recently, he’s been showing great signs of progression.
On the pitch, his work-rate was brilliant. He’s set his bar very high now, it’s our job as senior players to demand that from him day in, day out now and I’ve got no doubts that, if he does that, he can do anything he wants in this game because he has got the ability.
