Manager provides team news for Bees meeting
“Fortunately we don’t have any fresh injuries… unfortunately, none of the injured players are recovered to be ready for Brentford,” revealed manager Veljko Paunović ahead of our first ever visit to the Brentford Community Stadium.
“John Swift is in the final stage of his recovery; we are looking to build his fitness and probably give him a game with the Under-23s, which will help. We will hope to have him available for Boxing Day
“So at Brentford, it will be basically the same group of players. And we have to provide them with the best possible support and recovery tools so that they can be ready.
Brentford will be a tough team. We had the opportunity to see them play live on Tuesday – so we are aware of their qualities.
“We are also aware that they have one extra day to recover. So it will be a challenge. But we always give our best.
“It will be a different game, a different kind of experience. We will prepare for that. We’ll recover our boys and be ready.”
