Bio

Lauren Wade, a Northern Ireland International, is a fresh addition to the Royals' squad for the upcoming season, arriving after her tenure with Glentoran.

Wade's senior career commenced at her hometown club, Coleraine. She then made a significant move to fellow Northern Irish club Glentoran in 2014. In 2015, she ventured across the Atlantic to play college soccer in the United States, featuring in 23 games for the Carson-Newman Eagles and scoring 18 goals during her time there.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Lauren briefly returned to Glentoran before making her mark in Swedish outfit Umeå IK in 2017. Her international journey began in 2015, accumulating over 40 caps, including participation in Northern Ireland’s 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying campaign and their UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 campaign. Notably, during the EUROs, Wade was recorded as the third-fastest player in the Group Stages.

Lauren's good form continued during Northern Ireland’s 2023 World Cup qualifying campaign, where she contributed 3 goals and 3 assists in 8 games. As a fast winger, she was a constant presence in the lineup, featuring 15 times in the league last year.
