Sanne Troelsgaard, a Danish international midfielder, boasts a distinguished career primarily in Denmark and Sweden. She made her senior debut in 2004 for Haderslev HK, and in 2008, she earned her first international cap, contributing to a 1-0 victory over Finland, which marked the beginning of her illustrious national team journey.
In 2011, Sanne was honored as Denmark’s player of the year after an impressive start with Danish side IV Skovbakken, where she scored 29 goals in her first 15 matches. In 2017, she made a pivotal move from Denmark to Sweden, joining Rosengard, where she managed to score over 30 goals during her four-year tenure at the Swedish club.
In 2021, the midfielder embarked on a new adventure with Reading, donning the blue and white. It was during her time at Reading that she achieved a significant milestone by making her first-ever Women’s World Cup appearance, featuring in Denmark’s 2-0 victory against Haiti in August in Perth, Australia. Sanne further etched her name in history by scoring a crucial 90+10 minute goal to seal the win for her country.
