Welsh international Gemma Evans joined the Royals in 2021 following a spell in the West Country. 

Evans’ senior career started in the Capital of her home country in 2015, as she played for Cardiff City LFC. During this time she became involved in the Wales international team where she has won over 30 caps in the last 6 years.  

Evans made the switch from Cardiff to Yeovil in 2017, playing in the WSL for the first time in the 2017/18 season. Three years with Bristol City followed before signing for Reading in 2021 on a two-year deal. Evans cemented herself as a key member of Kelly Chambers’ back line in her debut season in Berkshire, playing alongside a couple of her international teammates.
