Republic of Ireland international, Diane Caldwell was the sixth summer recruit for the Royals ahead of their 2022/23 WSL Campaign.  

Caldwell started her career in Ireland with Raheny United before she moved to the USA to play at University level for Hofstra Pride. Over her 3-year-spell with Hofstra, she made 76 appearances scoring 8 times.  

Spells with Hudson Valley Quickstrike and Albany Alleycats were followed by a move to Icelandic side Ϸór/KA. A 4-season stint in Norway with Avaldsnes. A short stay at German side 1. FC Köln was followed by a move to SC Sand. Diane made just under 100 appearances for SC Sand including the 2017 DFB-Pokal Final. 

A spell at North Carolina courage followed before she signed a short-term deal at Manchester United in January 2022.  

Caldwell has amassed a total of 87 caps for the Republic of Ireland national team and most recently took captaincy for the first time at the 2022 Pinatar Cup.
