Striker Deanne Rose joined the Royals, in July 2021, where she was handed her first opportunity in senior Football.
In her American College career, Rose played for the Florida Gators over her time in the USA where she made a name for herself attracting attention ahead of the 2021 NWSL Draft. Rose signed for North Carolina Courage before being traded to Orlando Pride later that year.
Deanne signed for Reading ahead of the 2021/22 season, where she scored 4 goals, including the match-winning strike in a victory over eventual champions Chelsea.
Rose has been involved in the Canadian national team since she made her debut in December 2015 as a 16-year-old, in the same year that she was nominated for the ‘BMO Canadian Player of the year’.
She played a key part in Canada’s Rio 2016 Olympic campaign where she was a part of the squad that won Bronze. She became the youngest female Olympic goal scorer aged 17. Rose and Canada bettered their 2016 Olympic performance in the Tokyo 2020 games where she helped her country clinch Gold, the first Canadian football team to do so in 117 years.
