Defender Bethan Roberts joined the Reading FC academy at the age of 9 and worked her way up to the first team, making her senior debut in December 2020. She signed her first professional contract with Reading in July 2021, securing a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old received her first call-up to the Wales national team in April 2021, eventually making three appearances for her national team in 2022 during the UEFA U19 cup qualifiers.
