Sam Paul has been with the Royals since November 2013, joining at the age of 10.

The full-back, who can play on either side, is known for his attacking endeavour and defensive workrate.

Paul featured for Mikele Leigertwood's Under-18s side on a number of occasions, progressing through to Under-21s, under manager Noel Hunt.

2023-24 has seen the Englishman play a starring role in defence, playing every game so far, picking up three clean sheets, an assist for Jayden Wareham's winner against Newcastle, and earning a nomination for PL2 Player of the Month in August.
