Melvin-Lambert, who is a product of the Royals Academy, made his first-team debut during a 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Colchester United.

Since making his senior bow against the U's, the young forward has made two further Royals appearances against Luton Town, both in the following round of the Carabao Cup, and in January 2021 during a 1-0 defeat in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

Melvin-Lambert has also been a regular in the Royals U18 and U23s sides in recent years and made the step up to the U23s during the 2020-21 season, registering six Premier League 2 goals for Mehmet Ali's youngsters.

In February 2021, Melvin-Lambert not only signed a new deal with the Royals, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2022, but he also joined League of Ireland side, St Patrick’s Athletic on loan until June 2021.

He made his Pats debut in April, coming off the bench during a win over Derry City, and the following month netted his first professional goal, scoring within three minutes of entering the fray in a 3-1 loss to Drogheda United.
