Centre-half Louie Holzman signed a professional contract with the club in June 2022.

The defender made his First Team debut for the Royals during the 2021-22 season, playing the full 90 minutes against Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Cup.

Holzman has some family history with Reading Football Club. His grandfather Alan Cooper played for the Royals between 1969 and 1972.

And his uncle is former Reading defender Jake Cooper - now plying his trade at fellow Championship side Millwall.

More recently, Holzman made another start for the Royals during the 2022-23 season - during the Carabao Cup defeat to Stevenage in August 2022.
