All the info on Saturday's visitors

After a weeks rest due to the international break, it's back to Sky Bet League One action for the Royals when they host Peterborough United at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday.

Ten matches unbeaten prior to the break saw Noel Hunt's side on the cusp of the Play-Off places, but a tough test awaits when Darren Ferguson's in-form Posh head to town.

Ahead of the game we've taken a closer look at our visitors, and you can check out the full info below.

FORM

Peterborough go into the game seven unbeaten in the league, whilst also securing a spot in April's Vertu Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.

It's been a difficult campaign for last season's Play-Off Semi Finalists, however having bolstered their squad in January, they have seen an upturn in their form both at home and on the road.

Of their seven fixtures on the run, they have won four, including an away victory at local rivals Cambridge United and an eye catching 3-0 win against Charlton Athletic last weekend.

ONE TO WATCH - MALIK MOTHERSILLE

Chelsea Academy product Mothersille signed for Peterborough on Transfer Deadline Day in the summer of 2023.

His game time at the Posh was initially limited due to injury, however a brace on the final day of 2023/24 against Bolton saw him end the season in style, and he has continued that form into this campaign.

The forward has played in all 37 of Peterborough's Sky Bet League One fixtures this season, including 84 minutes in the Royals' victory at London Road in November.

He has contributed towards 18 goals in the league, with 11 goals and seven assists - including one of each in last Saturday's resounding victory against Charlton Athletic.

THE GAFFER - DARREN FERGUSON

Veteran Manager Darren Ferguson is now in his fourth stint as Posh boss, having first begun an association with the club as a player in the 2007/08 campaign.

The well decorated Scot has a whole host of achievements under his belt, with no less than four promotions with the Posh. He will also be going for his third Football League Trophy victory when his side head to Wembley Stadium to face Birmingham City next month.

Away from Cambridgeshire he recorded promotion from League Two as Doncaster Rovers boss in 2016/17, whilst also managing Preston North End in 2010.

FROM THE VAULT

We travel back just four months for this weeks trip down memory lane, with the Royals recording a first victory at London Road in 23 years.

A Harvey Knibbs brace in the first half was enough to seal a fine win in the pouring rain, despite Emmanuel Fernandez's 96th minute goal making it a nervy final phase for the Royals.

You can relive the full highlights above.
