Wolverhampton winger becomes a Royal
Reading Football Club are delighted to announce the loan signing of Chem Campbell, who joins from Wolves until 5th January 2025.
The deal to sign the 21-year-old forward has been allowed to be completed due to cooperation of all parties, including the EFL, however Chem will not be eligible for the matchday squad for Saturday’s League One fixture with Charlton Athletic.

A product of both the Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers youth setups, Chem made his first team bow for the Old Gold at the age of just 16, starting in his side’s EFL Cup Fourth Round tie away at Aston Villa.
He would go on to make six Premier League appearances for the Molineux outfit, including minutes against Manchester City, Newcastle United and Chelsea in 2022/23.
The second half of the same campaign would seen him gain valuable first team experience on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, where he would score three goals in his 17 appearances for the Buckinghamshire side.
2023/24 would see Campbell enjoy further loan experience, firstly at Charlton Athletic and then back at Wycombe Wanderers.

Speaking of securing the forward's short-term future, Reading Manager Rubén Sellés, said: "We are very happy to secure the signing of Chem, a player who will bolster our attacking options for the first half of our League One campaign.
He has a come through some of the best Academy setups in the country and has experienced minutes playing at English football’s top level, and we are delighted to bring him to Reading to give him an opportunity to impress and develop further."
We are delighted to welcome Chem, and looking forward to giving him a proper Royals welcome this Saturday.
