Red Devils midfielder joins on loan till the end of the season
Reading FC Women are thrilled to welcome the return of midfielder Jade Moore, who will be joining on loan from Manchester United, and will be a part of the Royals squad till the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Lioness brings an abundance of experience playing in England, Spain and America – tallying over 300 senior career appearances.
Moore has also represented England at every age from U-17 up to the senior team, representing the national team in the 2015 & 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Fans may not have to wait too long to see Moore back in the blue and white hoops, as Reading will be back in action on Sunday in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round against Leicester City.

After spells at Lincoln City, Leeds United and Birmingham City, Moore signed for Reading in 2017 from Notts County after the side folded before the 2017 FA WSL Spring Series.
Over a three-year spell, Moore made 58 appearances for the Royals, and became an integral part of the team helping the Royals achieve a top half finish in each season. And in the 2019/20 season, played almost every minute of the league campaign, and scored a personal best of five goals in a season.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the season was cut short, with only 14 games being played. Moore’s final appearance that season was on Wednesday 12th February, in a home tie against West Ham United where she scored the opening goal of the match in a 2-0 victory.
Once the season was officially declared as over, Moore signed for Orlando Pride in the NWSL on the 1st April 2020.
After enduring a frustrating time in America, with Orlando Pride withdrawing from the tournament due to Covid, Moore joined Spanish Primera Division team Atletico Madrid on loan.
She made her debut in the Champions league quarter-final against Barcelona, and went on to make a further nine appearances before the loan was mutually ended in December 2020.
12 months after first signing for Orlando Pride, Moore eventually made her debut in the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, starting all four games prior to suffering a knee injury at the start of the regular season which kept her out for the rest of the year.
In January 2022, Moore returned to England with Manchester United, where she was under the stewardship of Marc Skinner, who had previously coached her at Orlando Pride and Birmingham City.

As well as a decorated club career, Moore played on the international scene since 15, when she made her debut for the England Under-17s and has since gone on to represent the country at major tournament at every level including the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup (2008 & 2010), UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship (2019 winners), and represented the senior side for the first time at the UEFA Women’s Euros (2013).
Since making Hope Powell’s England squad in 2013, Moore has totalled over 50 appearances for the senior team, and has been selected for every major trophy helping the country reach third in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and fourth in the 2019 World Cup representing on four separate occasions, including the third round playoff.

On the signing, Chambers hailed Moore’s arrival as a dependable player that will provide plenty of experience in the big moments going into the final stages of the season.
“With Jade, we know exactly the type of player we’re getting.
“Having a player of her experience, in the position she plays, you often need a steady influence in the middle of the pitch in those big matches and moments.
“She offers us just as much in possession, as well as out, and with her experience she can often see attacks building one, two, three passes ahead of time, so I'm really pleased we were able to get this deal done and welcome Jade back."
Welcome back, Jade #OneMooreTime
