FA Cup 4th Round Details Announced for Reading FC Women

The Royals will travel to the Pirelli Stadium on Sunday 29^th January in the Fourth Round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.  

This will be our first game in the competition, in an all Barclays Women’s Super League tie as we take on Leicester City.

Last season, we progressed to the fifth round of the competition after an entertaining fourth round contest against Brighton, as the Seagulls battled back from 2-0 down, only for debutant Tia Primmer to come off the bench and score the winner in the final minutes of the game.

However, we were unfortunately knocked out the competition in the following round, when West Ham’s Dagny Brynjarsdottir scored a decisive extra time goal to take the Hammers through.

We have already faced our FA Cup opponents, the Foxes, once this season in the WSL. A dramatic late finish secured our first win of the season, with two late Rowe strikes, with the winner later awarded October’s Goal of the Month.

For fans wishing to attend, tickets will go on sale via the Leicester City Women’s ticket page at 9am on Saturday 14^th January and will remain on sale until Sunday 29^th January.
